Traditional American sea chanty folksong. A pretty arrangement that opens with solo euphonium, with the melody moving to various couplings within the brass choir before returning to the euphonium for the final statement. Uses straight mutes in trumpets, trombones and tuba. This arrangement is unique in that it employs a few alternative harmonies, and many meter changes throughout, from 4/4 to 3/4 and back as dictated by the line of the tune. Newly engraved score & parts, June, 2015. -cdp
